CDNBLAZE  I just downloaded and used DeLocalizer on my new MacBook Pro (Mac OS 10.5.3) and I restored just over 4GB of space! Love it! I was surprised at how much space the OS takes of the HD--over 30GB. Shrunk my 120GB HD considerably right out of the box.

Thanks for the great app!  (Version 1.1)

BRIAN KENDIG  Actually, wait, the -x option to 'find' prevents it from going into other drives. So it looks like this might be completely safe with Leopard. On my Mac, though, it seemed to take an awfully long time to run, much longer than before Leopard.  (Version 1.1)

BRIAN KENDIG  This tool works under Leopard, with one caveat: it goes into your Time Machine backup drive and deletes language resources from there too, which may not be what you want. Unmount your Time Machine drive before running this. If you're curious, here's the exact command that DeLocalizer runs:

    /bin/sh -c find -x / \! \( -path 'dev*' \) \( -path '*Japanese.lproj' -o -path '*Spanish.lproj' -o -path '*Portuguese.lproj' -o -path '*German.lproj' -o -path '*Italian.lproj' -o -path '*French.lproj' -o -path '*Norwegian.lproj' -o -path '*Dutch.lproj' -o -path '*Finnish.lproj' -o -path '*Korean.lproj' -o -path '*Danish.lproj' -o -path '*Swedish.lproj' -o -path '*Icelandic.lproj' -o -path '*de.lproj' -o -path '*en_GB.lproj' -o -path '*en_AU.lproj' -o -path '*es.lproj' -o -path '*fr.lproj' -o -path '*it.lproj' -o -path '*ja.lproj' -o -path '*nl.lproj' -o -path '*da.lproj' -o -path '*fi.lproj' -o -path '*ko.lproj' -o -path '*ni.lproj' -o -path '*no.lproj' -o -path '*pt.lproj' -o -path '*zh_CN.lproj' -o -path '*zh_TW.lproj' -o -path '*ca.lproj' -o -path '*cs.lproj' -o -path '*el.lproj' -o -path '*eu.lproj' -o -path '*fr_CA.lproj' -o -path '*hu.lproj' -o -path '*id.lproj' -o -path '*pl.lproj' -o -path '*pt_BR.lproj' -o -path '*ru.lproj' -o -path '*sk.lproj' -o -path '*sl.lproj' -o -path '*sw.lproj' -o -path '*th.lproj' -o -path '*tr.lproj' -o -path '*sv.lproj' \) -type d -exec rm -R \{\} \; >& /dev/null  (Version 1.1)
