DESCRIPTION
Widget, The World Watcher is not only a campy, eco-cartoon from the early 90s, but also a little utility that allows you to keep Safari's automatic file opening enabled without worrying about evil widgets installing themselves!

If a widget is being installed, a dialog will pop up asking if you wanted to install it. You'll have the options of allowing the installation, deleting the widget, or having it dropped on your desktop for later.

ANTARIUS  The Widget works exactly like it is designed, and does so flawlessly.

That said, the OSX 10.4.1 update includes a built-in notifier of a new Widget being installed; So for those of us who already have "Widget, The World Watcher" installed, you may want to know how to uninstall it so you don't get two prompts -- the Apple one, and this Widget one.

Here's how:

Open Finder, go to your user directory, choose Library, now Option + Click or Right Click on your "Widgets" directory, select the "Remove Folder Actions" menu, and remove "Widget, The World Watcher.script."

You will no longer have this "Widget" installed.

There are no files to delete.

(Note, it's not really a Widget, it is an Apple-Script that is attached to your Folder via the Folder-Actions ability that OSX enables)  (Version 1.0)

ANTARIUS  Absolutely awesome, I can keep the functionality and automation of opening "safe" files, and more importantly, auto-installing Widgets; But I also get the security of knowing I have control over what installs and what does not.  (Version 1.0)

ANONYMOUS  Is it just me? My installment of Tiger already prompts me if I'm sure I want to run a widget the first time... or maybe that's only when I run one from outside the widgets folder.  (Version 1.0)
