DESCRIPTION
StartupSound.prefPane is the software which controls the volume of the startup sound of your Macintosh computer. StartupSound.prefPane mute the startup sound without changing the output volume setting. And StartupSound.prefPane limits the startup volume so that it may not become loud even if you make the output volume louder. To set up the startup volume, you select the "Startup Sound" pane added to the "System Preferences."

Version 1.1b2:
  • StartupSound.prefPane now works on an Intel-based Mac.
  • The lock icon was added to "Startup Sound" preference.
  • The kernel extension "ArcanaPRAM.kext" is no longer installed in /System/Library/Extensions. The "ArcanaPRAM.kext" will be loaded at the time the startup item "ArcanaStartupSound" is run, not boot time.

CSR  MacBook os x: This application is a waste of time. Didn't work at all, and disabled my wireless mouse. POS.

OBCD ADAM  it still work for me on leopard, but maybe could be it update for best compatibility ? PPC user…  (Version 1.1b1)
