Project Canvas for Mac

Multimedia presentation tool.

$29.95
In English
Version 1.2.4

Project Canvas overview

Project Canvas is a multimedia presentation tool, much like industry giant PowerPoint, but comes at the fraction of the cost. Create click-by-click adventure games, interactive tutorials, storybooks, school presentations, and more.

Sporting a cross-platform compatible file format, Project Canvas files can also contain an unlimited number of cards and buttons. Buttons can perform a variety of actions from getting and setting variables, playing movies, and transitioning between cards with visual effects to playing sounds, playing music, speaking text, prompting the user for feedback and more!

One of the most versatile features of Project Canvas is the ability to export a Stand Alone copy of a stack. The stack will be exported as an executable file that can be run without having to have Project Canvas installed! In addition, specify special kiosk-style features like hiding the menubar or making the stack run full screen.

I have to stand by my previous comment. To drag and drop is such an integral part of the Mac experience that any program that is missing it.... Well, belongs on Windows.

I like this developer and they have some outstanding apps like MacPilot, for example. I own their whole utility suite. However, I have to agree with the negative reviewers. Pretty much everything they said is true. This program does feel like a 0.4 alpha. It is not at all intuitive and is very limited, despite the impressive looking list of functions on the website. It feels like a skeleton of an app. The drawing function seems on par with 1984 MacPaint . You can't even drag a graphic to the canvas or the editor; you have to import it through the menu. This app should not be for sale. It should be a free alpha. An example of this genre done right is eZediaOTI & eZediaMX. Unfortunatly, that developer is no longer in business but the software can still be found. It was light years ahead of Proj Canvas. So, in summary I think this was a misstep by Koingo who generally does a good job. Not this time, boys.

ok. so tell me. I'm obviously a total idiot, becauseI have read the helpfile, which is sparse to say the least. so go ahead tell me wjere I'm going wrong. tell me what a fool I am to fail to get to grips with this easy application after 23 years of using Macs [and PCs], even after reading the help. because that really would help. so come on, tell me.

this is not a 1.02 release this is not even a 0.4 relase! it reminds me of HyperCard 0.8 plus microsoft paint. nothing works, 'new' isn't even in the file menu. did an intern release this by mistake? I responded to the maczot offer to buy it for half price. at the moment you would have to pay me 99$ to even touch it again! or did you release it by mistake? or for a laugh? I have and like some koingo software. but sorry guys, this is awful. Best wishes Arthur Battram
