What's New
Version 1.7.2:
Issue where droplets could potentially fail to authenticate properly.
Issue where the remote view selection could fail to be preserved when new items are added to the view.
Issue where the generic shared Mac icon failed to render on Mac OS X 10.7 Lion.
Do you have a link to where you bought it from? I can't seem to find anything but the Mac App Store link on their site. You may want to email the developer and see if you can repurchase from the MAS.
The price here is $10, what made you think it was $4.99 and who's fault is it you didn't check the MAS? Also, companies often sell apps at a lower price on the MAS than from their own store. Next time you buy something you should do a little research...at least you only lost $5.01.
I own both Forklift 2 and Flow 1 and although I use Forklift as my default FTP program, Flow is my choice when Forklift fails (which is not often but it happens). Flow never has any problems though the development of FLow has languished for years.
According to the developer blog, it seems support for these protocols was removed 9 months ago, and messages in Twiitter state the developer has no intention to bring them back. So I think the developer should remove these from the description as it is currently a misrepresentation of the truth.
Otherwise, Flow is a nice app, but not as fast as they make it out to be. In my own tests with some other apps I'm testing out it was consistently slower in fact. I guess it really is hype after all. Oh well :(
... they should also remove, from product page, that importing bookmarks from other ftp apps is a snap as... it doesn't work at all and no one answered, *never*, in months, to my support requests
oh... just checked and that "feature" is not mentioned anymore ;-p
Consider your use case before purchasing Flow... If you are looking for an FTP client, I suggest you find a new host — traditional FTP is insecure and should be put out to pasture. If you're looking for an SFTP client, I can't think of any reason to use Flow instead of ExpanDrive, which mounts remote SFTP/SSH servers as if they were network shares, allowing you to edit files from the Finder just like any other file on your system. ExpanDrive is an indispensable tool for our team and is well worth the few extra dollars. If you're looking for WebDAV support, look elsewhere or just use the Finder — Flow does not have WebDAV support.
I've been using the new re-written updated version and haven't had any problems with it. It's been nothing but smooth for me. I'm impressed with its speed and simplicity. I'm a previous user of Transmit. The new SFTP support was worth the wait.
I was really liking Flow when I first got it from the MacHeist bundle, but now I can not use it to connect to my MobileMe files/sites. It just sits forever at "Listing ...". Anyone else having this problem?
It's good to know that it's not just me. I sent them a support request, but they haven't gotten back to me. On their support site they say they're overwhelmed ever since the MacHeist bundle that included Flow. Hopefully they are aware of the problem and will get a fix out soon.
I'm also having problems with Flow and MobileMe. I sent a support request and still haven't heard from them. I hope this doesn't mean there is a problem that can't be fixed.
I'm sure it can be fixed, it's just a question of how long it's going to take them. I presume we'll get a fix at some point, but it's pretty disappointing as Flow was one of my favorite apps from the bundle, and now it's nearly worthless to me until they fix the problem.

Since there is no "Buy from the Mac App Store" link here, the price listed here is wrong...
It's $10 for the exact same app! :(

I'm not a total idiot.
When originally posted, the price listed here was $5. Since I complained the MacUpdate staff corrected the pricing.
Thanks

His idiotic actions prevent me from even using this application. An app that once had potential.

He removed SFTP, WebDAV and S3 support and re-wrote FTP support. The result? It's even worse than v1.3.4
Oh, and he increased the price to $30
What a joker
